Easy Waffle Recipe without milk (Dairy Free)

Do you struggle to find dairy free recipes?

I have a child who is sensitive to dairy and I know how hard it can be to find a GOOD recipe that is dairy free.

Choosing dairy free options are often hard and leave you feeling like you don’t have many options.

When we made this recipe for the first time my kids loved it so much I knew we needed to add it to our rotation. Now we make these waffles at least once a week. Often we will make a double batch and freeze them! It makes other mornings super easy when we can take them out and toast them up.

As a homeschooling mama I am always trying to find a way to incorporate a lesson with cooking or baking! Preparing meals like homemade waffles allows kids to learn valuable life skills while bonding in the kitchen. Measuring ingredients, mixing batter, and watching waffles turn golden brown in the waffle maker can be a fun and educational experience. Plus, by making waffles at home, you can ensure they are low in sugar and free from food dyes, making them a healthier option for your little ones. Get creative with natural toppings like fresh fruit, peanut butter, or a drizzle of maple syrup to make breakfast extra special! We have been making these dairy-free waffler recipe for the past year and it is our absolute favorite.

Can you reheat the waffles?

Absolutely! After storing them in an airtight container, pull them out on those busy mornings in place in a toaster oven or in the top rack of your oven for a few minutes.

How can we turn this into vegan waffles?

The only ingredient you would have to substitute is the egg. Try increasing the oil to ¾ cup or making flax eggs (¼ cup ground flaxseeds and ½ cup water mixed together and set aside to thicken).

Can I use something to replace oil in the recipe?

If you do not want to use olive oil or vegetable oil you can always use applesauce. It will give them a different flavor, but still be delicious!
